HARTFORD - HOLMES COUNTY - JACKSON COUNTY - HOUSTON COUNTY - DOTHAN:   Hartford police was in a chase.   Subject has wrecked at East Main Street and Ross Clark Circle, the subject fled on foot and ran into the parking deck at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.  Subject is a black mail with long dreads.  Rickey is responding and will have an update later.

UPDATE: 8:09 AM

Subject is in custody.  He was caught at the outpatient entrance at the back of the hospital.

UPDATED @ 8:29 AM.

HARTFORD POLICE were in a chase. The chase went from Hartford into Holmes County Florida, then Jackson County Florida and into Graceville.

NOTE:    The Hartford Police units exercised extreme caution as they came through the school zone in Graceville. Not the suspect but Hartford Police.

The chase then came into Houston County.

At 7:44 AM TEXT RICKEY received a phone call asking why was Hartford Police chasing a vehicle, looked like a H2 Chevrolet, on Highway 605 crossing Highway 109. About that time Houston County 911 put out the chase was on Highway 109 north of the Alabama - Florida line.

The units from Houston County Sheriff Department responding, one from 84 West at Westgate and one from Highway 52 East at the county yard.

Then Houston County 911 notified the chase was eastbound on Cottonwood Road. Then a minute later Houston County 911 reported the chase was westbound on Highway 84 from Cowarts towards Dothan.

When the suspect vehicle came into East Main and Ross Clark Circle he struck vehicles and wrecked. The wreck overturned one vehicle, hit another vehicle knocking into a pickup truck and the H2 Chevrolet which the air bags deployed.

Dothan Police Captain Jason Penn witnessed the accident. At the time Dothan Police had not been notified of the chase until Captain Penn, who just happened to be at the intersection, witnessed the accident.

The suspect bailed and ran up the ramp and into the doctor’s center of Southeast Health.

The injuries were minor in the wreck at East Main and Ross Clark Circle caused by the suspect.

The hospital was then being surrounded by Dothan Police, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, ALEA - Troopers, Kinsey Police, Cottonwood Police, Hartford Police and possibly other law enforcement. Some law enforcement was with hospital security reviewing camera footage.

The suspect was then spotted at the outpatient entrance at the rear of the hospital and was apprehended.

At 8:39 AM Dothan Police called for Dothan Fire to the outpatient entrance the suspect was complaining his back was hurting.

NOTE:   Well he went through the hospital don’t know why he didn’t get checked!!!!!!

The first of the month a new law went into effect eluding a law enforcement is a felony. So this person will have felony charges in Geneva County, Houston County, in Dothan leaving the scene of an accident and assault. One for each of the three vehicles he struck. If Florida was involved it is a felony to run from law enforcement so he could have a felony in Florida.

The vehicle has an expired Fulton County Georgia license plate. Law Enforcement are still putting all of the information together to try and determine what made the suspect run.

At this time my assumption he will be placed either in Dothan City or Houston County Jail with no bond.

UPDATED @ 10:21 AM

Hartford Police Chief Ward stated that Hartford Police received complaints of the vehicle attempting to strike vehicles head on.

The Hartford Police Officer encountered the vehicle, activated his blue lights and siren, and the vehicle fled.
