KINSEY, 11:40 A.M.: Kinsey Police responded to a shots fired call at Chevrolet St and El Camino Drive in Kinsey, and one suspect pulled his gun on an officer before running away.
Two subjects who involved are now in custody at Chevette Street.
An officer encountered both suspects and was able to detain one.
One of the suspects pointed his gun at an officer and demanded he release another suspect before fleeing on foot.
Multiple Houston County Sheriff's Deputies and ALEA Troopers are on scene.
Rescue services were called to Kinsey.
UPDATE, 1:15 P.M.: Houston County Sheriff's Deputies, Columbia Police, Cottonwood Police, and ALEA Troopers quickly responded to aid Kinsey Police.
Unconfirmed report: Kinsey Police Chief Jim Mock was responding to a complaint when he rolled up and spotted two subjects with weapons.
He approached and took one into custody, having to fight with him to keep him restrained.
The second subject aimed his weapon at Chief Mock and demanded he let the subject go.
It's alleged the subject told Mock he would "end it," implying he would shoot the officer.
Mock attempted to reach for his weapon as the subject he was fighting with knocked him in the head, and the other subject fled down the street. He took the one he had restrained into custody.
Mock was able to call for help. An off-duty volunteer fireman who lived nearby assisted before backup arrived.
Both subjects are in custody.
Headland Rescue checked out Chief Mock.
Investigators have one house sealed off while they obtain a search warrant to find where one subject allegedly hid a weapon.
UPDATE, 3:27 P.M.: One subject is headed to the diversion center, and another subject is on the way to the county jail.
