Update 2:00pm Structure Fire Alex Circle in Taylor

(Taylor) - Houston County Comm Center has Dispatched Taylor Vol Fire, Bay Springs Vol Fire and Rehobeth Vol Fire Rescue to a structure fire on Alex Circle for a shed fire.

Bay Spring Fire first unit on scene advised shed fully involved spreading to mobile home and established command.

Upon Taylor Fire arrival they made an offensive attack on the fire but was shortly pulled out by command and went defensive on the fire. 

Taylor Fire Chief attempted to move the communication for the fire from the primary fire channel but Houston County Communication advised they did not have enough manpower at the comm center to be able to monitor an additional tack channel. 

1:28pm Command has request Slocomb Fire to respond to the scene with their tanker truck. The closest hydrant is almost a mile away and is out of service. 

1:30pm Command has advised they are transporting a firefighter to a local hospital non-emergency for unknown injuries. 

1:32pm Malvern Fire has been request for additional water

1:34pm Command has request Dothan Fire to respond for additional water. 

Two structures are in danger, the engine that is shuttling water is having to travel over a mile away to refill water. 

Wiregrass Electric is on scene to secure the power while firemen are working to control the fire. 

2:00pm Dothan Fire on scene advising three mobile homes fully involved. 

2:30pm Currently Taylor Fire, Rehobeth Fire, Dothan Fire, Slocomb Fire, Bay Spring Fire, and Malvern Fire are all on scene battling the blaze that initially started in a shed. The fire has spread to three mobile homes. Firefighters have had an extreme difficulty with water supply. Multiple departments were requested along with a tanker truck to assist with supplying water to the scene.
