HOUSTON COUNTY: The Alabama Alabama Attorney General Office is on site at Center Stage conducting a search warrant for electronic bingo.
The Houston County Sheriff Department is assisting the Attorney General Office but the AG is the investigating agency.
This was not a Bob Riley show case where law enforcement showed up like cowboys.
More details to follow. But Bob Riley's little boy "Luther Strange" is conducting a search warrant.
Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes has issued a statement. Sheriff Hughes said he established some ground rules when contacted by the Attorney General to assist. Hughes made sure they had a valid search warrant. The search is being conducted by the Alabama Attorney General Office.
Update @ 2:30 pm
Agents are still inside and patrons are being turned around at the driveway. So if you were planning on coming to play bingo you will get turned around.
Updated @ 5:00 pm
The first of two semi trucks has just left loaded with equipment, the second truck is now being loaded. No one from Center Stage or Law Enforcement is willing to comment at this time. We will keep you up to date as more information comes available.
