ASHFORD:      07:34 AM.     911 dispatched Ashford Police and other law enforcement along with Ashford Rescue to a possible firearm assault in the 700 block of First Avenue in Ashford.

Ashford Rescue was instructed to stage a safe distance from the residence while law enforcement investigated and deemed the scene safe.

Ashford Police and other law enforcement checked the sides of the residence and the areas around the residence.

The law enforcement officers finally made forced entry into the residence.

The scene has been cleared for Ashford Rescue to proceed into the residence. Law Enforcement Officers on the scene have also called for the on call criminal investigator to call them.

There was no EMS transport. Ashford EMS returned to service shortly after arrival. Law Enforcement on scene called for a criminal investigator to respond.

Ashford has turned the scene over to county law enforcement agency of jurisdiction. There is no foul play suspected and suspect deceased on the scene.

The County Coroner has been requested to respond.
