DOTHAN:    10:45 PM   Dothan Police 911 dispatched a pedestrian in an struck by a motor vehicle on South Oates just inside Ross Clark Circle.

10:49 PM   Dothan Fire Engine 4 just arrived.

UPDATED @ 10:02 AM WEDNESDAY   

The accident on South Oates last night is a traffic fatality. The female was dead on the scene.

RSN knew that it was a fatality. But we never want families ot find out via RSN their loved ones are dead. That is why we leave as critical until we get notifications the families has been notified.

This person appeared possibly homeless. She had luggage and at this time is listed as Jane Doe.

This is a hit and run accident. Dothan Police CRASH Team was notified and responded. The commander of the CRASH TEAM, Lt. Sallas, has been out working since called about the 10:45 PM accident and other than running home for a brief change is still back on the streets with other CRASH TEAM members working the accident.
