ENTERPRISE - DOTHAN: Someone called and said about 17 marked and unmarked law enforcement officers were zooming from Daleville area towards Dothan.
Another call said law enforcement cars everywhere on the west side of Ross Clark Circle.
Another TEXT RICKEY STOKES 334-790-1729 message law enforcement everywhere at Motel 6, Ross Clark Circle - West.
Here is what is going on... a kidnapping in Enterprise. The suspect and vehicle found at Motel 6 in Dothan. A joint investigative operation of Enterprise Police Department and the United States Marshall Service.
Through the joint investigation the suspect has been taken into custody and the victim found safe. The kidnap victim was treated on the scene and checked for injuries by DOthan Fire Department. The kidnap victim was not transported to a hospital and checked out ok.
Enterprise Police Criminal Investigation is on the scene and conducting their investigation into the kidnapping.

ENTERPRISE POLICE PRESS RELEASE
June 22, 2020
On June 22, 2020, at 1:50 PM, the Enterprise Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 Block of Johnson Street regarding a possible kidnapping. Witnesses reported a suspect forced the victim into thebackseat of a white sedan and fled the area. During the search for the victim and suspect, EPD Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for kidnapping on the suspectand requested assistance from the US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force. At 6:30 PM, US Marshals Task Force members apprehended the suspect at a motel in Dothan, AL. The victim was also found at this location with minor injuries. EPD Detectives arrested and charged Kody Burks, age 26, of Enterprise, AL with Kidnapping 2nd degree. Burks was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
The Enterprise Police Department would like to thank the US Marshals Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in this investigation.
