Geneva County 911 was provided wrong information about which side of the residence the bridge was out. I want to applaud her though, she was on top of providing responders with a correct alternate route into the structure. Immediately when it was realized the information she was provided was wrong she quickly corrected. She can only provide what information is provided to her, and she did an outstanding job.
This fire response was by Slocomb Volunteer Fire, Malvern Volunteer Fire, Fadette Volunteer Fire, Hartford Volunteer Fire, and Esto Volunteer Fire. Slocomb and Hartford EMS was on the scene.
Wiregrass Electric was quick on response to cut the power to the residence.
Water had to be shuttled into the fireman because the nearest hydrant was about Slocomb High School.
This scene is a dirt road off Geneva County Road 9.
All occupants had evacuated. When fireman arrived smoke and flames were visible and this was a defensive fire fight only.
There are no injuries in the fire.
