The suspect, reports are from Memphis Tennessee, is reported to have broken into a car at Dothan Country Club.
Dothan Police received reports the suspect attempted to use the victim's credit card at Target's. Dothan Police responded to Target's but was unable to locate the suspect. The victim is reported to have given a good description of suspect vehicle.
Dothan 911 received information the suspect was then attempting to use the victim's credit card at WalMart. Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Police to WalMart.
Reports are as the suspect saw Dothan Police Patrol units entering WalMart and traveling his direction, the suspect is reported to have jumped into the vehicle and the chase was on.
The chase went from WalMart North in Dothan, through Dale County and into Coffee County and edge of Pike County.
When the chase was in Dale County, Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum gave the approval to Deputies in the chase to pit as soon as safe and opportunity. WARNING: In Dale County, Sheriff Mason Bynum will place that F-150 up your exhaust pipe in a New York second and put you off the roadway. YOU HAD BETTER STOP IN DALE COUNTY.
The only reason no pit because law enforcement could not get into position to safely do so.
The suspect finally stopped. But only because he ran out of gas!!!
Suspect is now in custody.
