HALEBURG - HEADLAND:    09:13 AM   Henry County Central 911 dispatched Henry County Sheriff Deputies and Headland Fire - Rescue to a critical motor vehicle accident.

The accident location is Henry County Road 65 near Henry County Road 176.

Emergency units are rolling. The person reporting to Henry County Central 911 reported the motor vehicle accident, possible entrappment and on fire. This is reported as a two vehicle accident.

ALEA - Troopers have also been dispatched.

When emergency units arrived no vehicle was on fire. Headland EMS transported one patient from the scene to a local hospital. 

There was one confirmed fatality on the scene. Henry County Coroner's Office was notified and responded to the scene.

The Henry County Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as Brian Stephen Smalley Headland, Alabama.

At 12:44 PM law enforcement open Henry County Road 65 for traffic.

ALEA - Troopers will conduct a traffic homicide investigation. NOT THAT THIS IS A HOMICIDE but anytime there is a fatality the ALEA Traffic Homicide team conducts a detailed investigation.
