DOTHAN:    10:31 PM.  Dothan 911 dispatched a critical injury motor vehicle accident in the 2300 block of Denton Road.

Reports to Dothan 911 a passenger car verses a mailbox with the patient possibly laying n the roadway.

Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance were advised the stage until law enforcement declared the scene safe.

At 10:38 PM Dothan Police declared the scene safe for EMS to enter but ordered the roadway to close the roadway. A perimeter has been established up to Fairfield Road intersection to Denton Road.

Possible foul play. Law Enforcement and EMS working on details.

UPDATED @ 10:49 PM 

Dothan Criminal Investigation Division has been requested. The person is deceased.

UNCONFIRMED, but possible gunshot wound.

Some of the Dothan Police Patrol units blocking the crime scene were instructed to remove the crime scene tape and return to service. A couple of patrol units were instructed to remain on the scene assisting Dothan Police Criminal investigation unit.

At this time no details have been released by Dothan Police Department. Units have been on the scene since the incident which occurred around 10:30 PM until now, 2:26 AM, which is about four hours on the scene.

Houston County Coroner’s Office was also called to the scene.
