KINSEY: 2:10 AM. Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Headland Police to a burglary in progress on Nomad Circle in Kinsey.
Moments after the call was dispatched the 911 Center reported a firearm assault also at this residence. The call was then upgraded to the resident shot the suspect.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies under the command of Patrol Lieutenant Reichert are on the scene. Kinsey Fire Chief/Kinsey Mayor Elect Jason Reneau is also on the scene.
Kinsey Interim Police Chief Robert Jones, the only Police Officer in Kinsey took tonight off. He has worked non stop for weeks with no days off.
Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigation Division has been called out to respond.

UNDER the emergency escort of Houston County Sheriff Deputy Samantha Arias, Headland Rescue has left the scene on Nomad Circle, with both Headland Paramedics in the back with the patient, running emergency to Southeast Health with the firearm assault ( apparent suspect ) victim.

Deputy Samantha Arias and Headland Rescue just arrived at Southeast Health. Dothan Police Department has units at Southeast Health assisting Deputy Arias.
Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza ( 2:40 AM ), Sheriff Major Rafferty, Investigator Donovan Kilpatrick and one additional female investigator are on the scene of responding.
This appears, UNCONFIRMED BY AUTHORITIES, as a possible domestic related firearm assault with the ex-boyfriend being the gunshot victim ( but IF breaking in not really a victim. ) Remember the key word ... IF
