The decision is made. The little girl WILL BE in the Little Miss National Peanut Festival.

SAMSON:     There is reported to be special called meeting of the Samson Mayor and City Council concerning a beautiful, blonde headed, blue eyed little girl.

The little girl won Little Miss Samson. From that the little girl should be in the Little Miss Peanut.

The night of the little girl’s April 9th victory it is said that the “adults” in charge of Little Miss Samson announced the little girl would be competing in the Little Miss Peanut ( National Peanut Festival - Dothan, Alabama ).

It is reported that the Little Miss Samson Director told the mother that she was unsure if the little six year old would be able to be in the pageant. The little girl’s paperwork was turned in by the deadline but the first runner up paperwork was not turned in on time.

The paperwork issue, as described is not a rule of the National Peanut Festival but a rule of those putting on the Little Miss Samson Pageant.

The Samson Mayor and members of the Samson City Council can override the Little Miss Samson Director and make it happen for this six year old.

Based on the information provided, the “adult” in charge dropped the ball and this little girl should not be punished. And if all of the information provided is true and correct this pageant director should apologize for her lack of performing her duties and causing all of this mess. And then resign and go home.

The director of the pageant is Terri King. Her husband is Buddy King. Our mayor is Clay King…buddy and clay are BROTHERS. Which makes Terri king our mayors sister in law???

Moving forward you will get your facts straight. Have you seen the paperwork and rules of the Miss Samson Pageant and the Peanut rules for eligibility? The answer is no! So as stated in your article one of the contestants did not turn in her paperwork by April 7, 2022 deadline! So therefore there were only 2 eligible contestants that qualified to participate in Peanut which requires 3 eligible contestants in the local pageant before the winner can participate in Peanut. Very simple to understand for those that can read.
