Today at 2:00 PM a press conference was held on a double murder. Holmes County Sheriff John Tate stated that although the press and public wants to know what's going on the law enforcement must still do their job and protect the integrity of the case. 

Tate said that this case is still an ongoing case reaching into Alabama and Florida. It is still an active investigation. 

Sheriff Tate reported. On Tuesday evening around 4 o clock he was contacted by Glover with the Dothan Police Department. Glover stated that he had received reports on July the 11th on two missing people. 

Once they had enough probable the Holmes county PD had investigators in Bonifay to start securing a search warrant for the property they had suspected to find evidence on. They were able to gather a person of interest in the case. Shena Maria Therman 35 years old from Bonifay. 

With Holmes Sheriff Department talking to witnesses and working with Dothan PD Shena was located at a hotel in Dothan and taken into custody on unrelated charges. 

Around midnight the Holmes County Sheriff's office had an executed search warrant for 2241 Longround Bay road where the property was secured while investigators located a freshly dug cite on the back edge of the property. 

Contact was made with Bay County sheriff's office and Holmes County Sheriff's office requested to use their dogs the following morning to conduct a search of the property. Once they arrived on the scene four different dogs from the search team alerted to the freshly dug cite. The fire department along with the law enforcement crime scene unit was requested at the spot of the scene and they processed the crime scene to conclude excavating the spot. They found two deceased bodies.

At this time law enforcement believe that the bodies of the two missing people from Dothan. The bodies were transferred to the medical examination office in Panama City Florida and the identities will be confirmed along with the cause of death.

Arrest warrants for a murder have been obtained for murder have been obtained for Shena Therman and she will be sent to Florida once Alabama has concluded with her.

Lt. Hall from Dothan PD said that Friday when the search warrant was going in Holmes county, Dothan executed a search warrant on Dutch Street on Dothan. It is believed to possibly be the cite of where one of the murders took place. A lot of evidence was collected and they are in the process of processing it. Shena Therman has been charged with 1 count of murder. The case is still active and ongoing. 

Holmes County Sheriff Tate said that there is more people of interest as suspects. Every person involved with this case knew one another. 

The next steps to this case is to service search warrants along with interviewing and looking for people related or involved to the case. Sheriff Tate expects more arrest to be made in this case.
