HEADLAND: Multiple Police units are with reports of shots being fired. Headland police are requesting more units as to the suspect has ran into a home and barricaded himself inside. Officers on scene have requested K-9's from the sheriff's Office. 

He reported to be armed. This all the information we have at this time.

In a combined operation with Headland Police Department and Henry County Sheriff Department, a black male suspect has been taken into custody.

The suspect is reported to have shot at a Headland Police Office on Hollon Street in Headland.

Multiple Headland Police Officers, multiple Henry County Sheriff Deputies to include Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship are on the scene. The Henry County Sheriff SRT Team was activated and on the scene.

The supect finally surrendered to law enforcement and was taken into custody wihout any injuries.

This is a Headland Police Department case that Henry County Sheriff Department assisted.

Headland Police Chief Mark Jones thanked all of the officers involved and the calm manner handled that all ended well without injuries.

Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship said all agencies working together for one common goal, and that is the protection of the citizens and law enforcement officers. Sheriff Blankenship, as Chief Jones, were glad this ended well without injuries.
