HOUSTON COUNTY INTO DALE COUNTY:      Houston County Sheriff Vice Deputies chased a vehicle into Dale County. The vehicle traveled out on Highway 123 and turned on Dale County 43.

The Vice Deputy reported the subjects were throwing items from the vehicle as it traveled down the highway.

When the deputy reported the vehicle stopped on North Highway 123 and Dale County 43, the Deputy reported one subject was tased and another subject fled on foot.

Dale County Sheriff Deputies are responding that direction.

The Houston County Sheriff Deputy then reported two subjects in custody and one at large.

Multiple deputies, one person TEXT RICKEY STOKES that as many as 14 deputies were responding that direction.

The Commanding Lieutenant of Criminal Investigations, Anthony Hatcher, is on the scene. Ironically a Lieutenant is above a Sergeant. Lieutenant Anthony Hatcher responds and works all of the time.

OF SPECIAL NOTE:   If I do not say it then you do not know it, but Houston County Commissioner/Houston County Deputy Sheriff Ricky Herring is a Sergeant, which is rank below a Lieutenant. He is not and never responds. Yet they say he has to drive his Sheriff vehicle everywhere because he is always on call. Even when he went to Prattville to new Commissioner Training. At the event he hauled Commissioners from other counties to eat in his NEW Houston County Sheriff Vehicle. He drove it with the excuse "he was on call all the ay from Prattville" yet he does not respond here in Houston County. Herring is paid $ 250.00 a month to furnish his own vehicle as is all of the commissioners. Herring draws that $ 250.00 a month and drive a Sheriff vehicle.

The on scene deputies were asked if Dale County Sheriff needed to launch helicopter. No answer. Houston County Sheriff Deputies deployed K-9's Jeanie and Sully.

UPDATED @ 6:14 PM

Deputies on the scene reported the third suspect is in custody.

UPDATED @ 6:35 PM
