GENEVA COUNTY:      Geneva County 911 and Ft. Rucker dispatched emergency units to a helicopter crash.


The location is off Highway 167 in Geneva County north of Hartford.


Hartford Fire - Rescue responded, EMS units from Ft. Rucker, Hartford Police, and Geneva County Sheriff Department responded. Also Flat Iron from Ft. Novesell went air borne and responded.


On arrival the combined EMS units treated three patients on the scene. The patients were flown from the scene to an area hospital.


UNCONFIRMED because Ft. Novesel is so secretive do not believe the injuries are life threatening.

Reports from sources the crashed helicopter is a UH-72A Lakota. The crash was near the intersection of Alabama 167 and County Road 41.


Reports are significant damage to the aircraft.


I apologize that your government at Ft. Novosel has not released any information about the people's aircraft in an accident. They only think the people are to pay and but none of your business what happens.


Reports from civilians those in the aircraft had non life threatening injuries. That is UNCONFIRMED by Ft. Novosel because they apparently do not think the public needs to know.
