ALABAMA: The great State of Alabama.
When Bob Riley was Alabama Governor he went to show HE WAS THE MAN!
Riley flexed the muscles and showed then Attorney General Troy King, as Governor, he had more power and authority then the Attorney General.
Today, while looking at Alabama Open Checkbook, I looked at the pay of the Alabama Governor and Alabama Attorney General.
GOVERNOR - bi-weekly ( every two weeks ) pay $ 5,190.16.
ATTORNEY GENERAL - bi-weekly ( every two weeks ) pay $ 6,816.70
As Governor, the most powerful man or woman in Alabama, second to the courts, a person makes $ 42,209.04 a year less than that of Attorney General. Both have security and vehicles furnished.
NOTICE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE ATTORNEY GENERAL, ALABAMA'S TOP LAWYER

The first winner was from North Carolina... to be Alabama Attorney General, the TOP LAWYER in Alabama, no law degree is listed in the qualifications.
Many Attorney Generals and District Attorney's think they are the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the State.
WRONG.
They are the Chief "prosecutor" of the State not the "Chief Law Enforcement Officer" of the county or state.
Sheriff's are the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the county.
