OZARK: 3:02 PM The call came into Dothan 911 and was transferred to Ozark - Dale County 911 of a firearm assault.
The firearm assault is at Grocery Outlet in Ozark, located at 1266 S. Highway231 at American Deli.
At 3:04 PM Ozark - Dale County 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1266 S. Highway 231 Ozark.
Ozark Police - Ozark Fire - Rescue and Dale County Sheriff Deputies responded.
PRELIMINARY INFORMATION is someone was attempting to run over someone in front of American Deli which resulted in gunfire.
TIME LINE
PRIOR TO THE firearm assault or motor vehicle accident, Ozark - Dale County 911 dispatched a call at 2:56 PM Man with a gun and was pointing it at person reporting. This was at American Deli.
At 3:04 PM the accident at the same location was dispatched, which was at the same location.
Dothan 911 then got the call of a firearm assault and transferred the call to Ozark - Dale County 911. This was within minutes of the other calls.
The gunshot victim was reported to have fled the scene. There was a car abandoned that matched some description.
Dale County Sheriff helicopter was dispatched to fly over the area.

Ozark Police Chief Marlos Walker issued a press release in reference to an incident that occurred in Ozark Alabama this afternoon.
on March 27, 2021 at approximately 3:00 PM received multiple calls in reference to a physical altercation to two black males in the parking lot of American Deli in Ozark.
Callers advised that one male subject used a motor vehicle to strike another male subject in the parking lot. During this event shots from a firearm was discharged but no one was struck.
After criminal investigators of Ozark Police Department collected physical evidence, interviewing witnesses, and watching video surveillance the Ozark Police Department is searching for a suspect.
