HOUSTON COUNTY:  At 4:58 PM...Wicksburg Fire and Wicksburg Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at Hwy 123 and Judge Louge Road. Reports are one vehicle rolled over and reports are two people were ejected. At least one was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Dothan Fire mutual aided for ALS.

Houston County Sheriff’s Office also responded. The area where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.

DOTHAN POST – A two-vehicle accident at 5:00 p.m. on Friday February 7, 2020 has claimed the life of a Geneva County man. Ronald Jay Spires, 48, of Hartford was killed when the 2014 Nissan Titan he was operating was struck by a 2005 Ford Ranger. Spires was not using a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle. Spires was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford Ranger was transported to Flowers Hospital by Wicksburg Rescue with life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred at the intersection of Alabama 123 and Judge Logue Road, 6 miles north of Hartford. Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.
