HOUSTON COUNTY: At 8:27 AM.. Cottonwood Fire and Cottonwood Police are responding to a possible Hazmat spill at Cottonwood Road and Grove Street. Chloride Spill. Dothan Fire Hazmat has been dispatched to mutual aid with the possible spill. Dothan -Houston County EMA Director Judah is also en-route.
Cottonwood Police ask that everyone stay clear of the area until they can get the situation under control.
Cottonwood Police are beginning evacuation of the Houston Street Side.

Cottonwood Police is advising they have the leak stopped and no longer a danger. Residence stay in your home a little while longer but NO evacuations are now on-going. Dothan Fire has been cancelled. The Chloride cloud is dissipating and is no longer a danger.

Dothan Fire is rolling to Cottonwood to attempt to stop the leak. Cottonwood Rescue is transporting one person that was over come by the leak.

Dothan Fire has reported the leak has been stopped and the area is safe. The leak was from the well on Houston Street.

The all clear has been given and all units have returned to service.
