ASHFORD: 4:18 PM. Motorcycle and garbage truck accident on Highway 84 East at Ashford.

ashford Fire, Ashford Rescue, Ashford Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a garbage truck and a motorcycle. Dothan Fire Engine 5 was mutual aided for Advanced Life Support due to the injuries of the motorcycle driver.
The driver was transported to the hospital by a Ashford Rescue with a Trauma Alert. Houston County Sheriff’s Lt Tony Turner escorted the ambulance to the hospital.
The traffic in both inside lanes were closed due to the accident. Ashford Police is handling the investigation into the accident.
