DOTHAN: 4:51 PM. Multiple fire departments, Alabama Forrestry, EMA, DOTHAN Police, Houston County Sheriff, ALEA - Troopers are on the scene of an outdoor fire.
The scene stretches from Highway 84 East to Cottonwood Road some 2.1 miles.
A pickup pulling a trailer with a flat tire apparently set the fires as they traveled down the road.

The fire is out at this time. There were multiple fire units from Dothan Fire, Cowarts Fire, Ashford Fire, Lovetown Fire, Hodgesville Fire and man power from Southern Junction Firefighters all responded to the fire.
It took multiple units due to the length the fire stretched. Cottonwood Rescue and Diane Nall brought bottles of water for the firefighters until Dothan Rehab truck could arrive to provide rehab. Dothan Ambulance responded with one ambulance as the fire was almost out.
