Dothan - At 1:40pm Wednesday Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilchers Ambulance was dispatched to a 2 car wreck with one person trapped under the steering wheel. Engine 9 was dispatched as the primary unit to Montgomery Hwy and Mall Drive. Engine 6 was on a medical call with a stroke patient at the time of the wreck. Truck 3 arrived to find two vehicle with major damage and one patient trapped under the steering wheel. Engine 9 arrived to being medical treatment while Truck 3 performed extrication duties. Battalion Chief Kevin Knight was in command of the scene. Patient was extricated and being transported to a local hospital emergency as a trauma alert within 15 min of call.
