Vernon Man Arrested for Meth

HOLMES COUNTY, FLORIDA: On December 6, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office Deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 79 in Bonifay; the vehicle was driven by Solon Earnest from Vernon, Florida.
When deputies walked up to the vehicle, they observed Earnest to have a white crystal substance on his shirt. When asked about the suspected meth, Earnest stated that he was trying to get rid of it prior to being stopped.
A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and located in the vehicle was approximately eleven grams of meth along with items such as digital scales and a large amount of plastic baggies used to distribute illegal narcotics.
Earnest was placed under arrest and charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.
