WALTON COUNTY, FLORIDA:           Members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force were serving a felony order out of Okaloosa County on Steven Alexander Jamison revoking his bond for original charges of sexual assault on a child as well as child abuse.


During the process of his arrest, Jamison attempted to stab a task force member multiple times. However, the knife was unable to penetrate the vest of the officer, and the officer was luckily unharmed.


Jamison was transported to the Walton County Jail and may now face charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.


The U.S. Marshals Task Force is made up of deputies and police officers from Walton County and other surrounding counties. This task force is instrumental in locating wanted fugitives across the Florida Panhandle.
