WASHINGTON COUNTY: We are saddened to have received the news that Roger Elkins lost his battle with a recent illness. For the past 15 years, Roger was always there when we needed that shift covered, that detail manned or just an extra hand .
He never received any compensation for his time. He volunteered every hour away from his family to work and fill in wherever he was needed. Parades, details, short staffing or filling a shift on patrol to enable our guys to take time with their families, Roger was always there to help.
He was a selfless, loyal and dedicated man. He will be greatly missed. Washington-51, you’re final 10-87 was far too soon. Thank you for your many years of service and the time you dedicated to our agency.
