Wicksburg - Houston County Communications dispatched Wicksburg Fire and Rescue to a motor vehicle accident at Hwy 84 and 123 South. Wicksburg Rescue arrived on scene and advised there were two cars involved with moderate damage to both vehicle and 84 east bound lanes were blocked. Wicksburg Fire diverted to a service call while enroute to the MVC since there was no fire services needed at the wreck. Initially all patients refused transport to the hospital by ambulance and Wicksburg Rescue went enroute to assist at the service call. Moments later, Houston County Communications contacted Wicksburg Rescue again and advised them per the deputy on scene one of the patients at the MVC had changed their mind and wanted to be transported. Wicksburg Rescue sent an additional crew back to accident to transport the patient to a local hospital. Wicksburg Fire also handled a Fire Alarm on Cumbie Rd during this time. There was no fire and it was a false alarm. ALEA Troopers are investigating the wreck.
