DOTHAN, ALABAMA:    The Dothan Police Department will host a fall session of the R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) Women's Self-Defense Course.


The course will be held at the Wiregrass Public Safety Center located at 100 Public Safety Way in Dothan on Saturday, October 21, and Saturday, October 28, from 9 AM to 4 PM each day.


Both days are required for the 12-hour course.

Space is limited to 25 students and is a free course offered to girls ages 12 and up.


Students can expect discussions on existing dangers and self-defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities.


Furthermore, the class is designed to give practical responses to women during various levels of confrontation from passive verbal comments to severe, aggressive attacks.
