DOTHAN:    3:01 PM   Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire - Dothan Police - Pilcher Ambulance to a structure fire at 403 West Adams Street. The time of the call was about 2:56 PM.

This is a active working structure fire. The residence appears to be vacant.

On the arrival of the first engine the structure was fully involved. Dothan Fire has evacuated the nearby residences.

Matt Boster is responding. He reported black smoke could be seen from as Highway 231 South and East Saunders Road.

The is an exterrior attach fire only.

UPDATED @ 3:30 PM...

Firefighters have gained control of the fire and have the fire knocked down. Firefighters have confirmed no one lived in the home and no one was inside. The fire is under the command of Dothan Fire Battalion Chief Groomes. 

Fire investigation is now under way to determine what caused the fire.
