What does readiness of mind mean]? 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.[This is one reason you check the sc riptures daily. Try the spirits; check them out for yourself to see if what is being said aligns with God's word. Don't rely on others completely; don't be lazy. Study verses 2–6 in this book and chapter also. If it doesn't match His word, drop it, forget it. If it does match with His word, hold on to it, remember it].You search the sc riptures daily so you can become familiar with God's word. How can you tell if someone is deceiving you if you know little or nothing about the sc riptures? You wouldn't be able to tell. Alleviate the problem; study!
