All-Call for The SpongeBob Musical at SEACT

Get silly with Southeast Alabama Community Theatre! We need a bunch of grown-ups who don’t mind acting up in the name of family fun, and SPONGEBOB. Actors, singers, dancers of all (16+) ages are welcome to attend any or all days of the audition, learn a little song and dance, show us what you’ve got, and join us on a journey to that pineapple under the sea.

Auditions are open and free to the public. SEACT is looking for tappers, hip-hop dancers, skateboarders, and roller skaters. 18 and under, please attend with parent or guardian. No advanced material is required. Our directors will teach you everything you need for the audition.

Please reserve Aug. 17, 6:00 PM for callbacks. If you are not called back, that does NOT mean you will not be cast in the show. A cast list will be posted by noon, Aug. 18.

The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world!

Rehearsals: 8/22 - 10/24

Performances: 10/25-29
Strike: 10/30

Rehearsals are generally Sundays 2:00 - 5:00 PM, and Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 6:00-9:00 PM. All cast members may not be required at every rehearsal. Additional rehearsals may be called at the discretion of the director. Attendance is mandatory. This includes holiday weekends, unless otherwise noted. A full rehearsal schedule will be provided to the cast at the first rehearsal.
