The 22nd Annual Down Home Country Fest will be Saturday, May 3,in Cottonwood. This event is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Names and contact numbers: Breakfast: Mrs. Linda Smith, 334-691-3648. Horse and Mule event coordinator: Tony Andrews: 334-596-9273. 15 Mile Horse Ride: Kenny Jackson 334-797-2919. A new event this year is a Talent Show on Friday May 2nd at 6 p.m. beside City Hall. Entry fee is $10.00. Cash prizes awarded for 1st,2nd and 3rd. Contact Tommy or Susie Johnson 334-405-2839. Deadline for entry is 4/28/2014. Food will be available at the talent show.There is a parade on Sat. morning at 9 a.m. through downtown Cottonwood. The grand marshals for the parade are Billy Max and Ann Hall, 1960 graduates of CHS.
