I'm James L. Murphree. I'm running for mayor for Town of Cowarts. I have lived since 1985. I served 6 years in the Army Reserves. I retired from Southern Nuclear after 38 years and I worked for the Town of Cowarts for 3 years. My grandmother taught me good values. This is where I learned that what matters, is not your name, but what you get done. It's where I learned that you usually get more done when you work with people than when you fight them. But, it’s where I also learned that you have to be prepared to take on tough fights and that making a real difference in people’s lives is what matters most.My plans as mayor is to finish the Senior Citizens building, build bathrooms for the walking trail, try to bring businesses to Cowarts. I would like to see a playground built so the children of Cowarts would have a place to play. Being that I a retired I am available to be at the Town Hall everyday so if you have any problems I will be there to answer your questions and try to have your problems solved in a timely manner. Customer Service is very important to be because the people of Cowarts are important to me.I would appreciate your vote for Mayor of Town Cowarts on August 23, 2016 Thank You,James L.
