“KENDREA’S PRAYER FOR HOPE” FREE BENEFIT CONCERT

In an effort to help out one of our own, we would like to announce the upcoming FREE BENEFIT CONCERT FOR KENDREA WHITE.

“KENDREA’S PRAYER FOR HOPE CONCERT” will be held in Hartford, Alabama at the Recreational Park on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Gates will open at 8 am with vendors until 4 pm.  We will have water slides for the kids to play on during the day. Following the fun time with vendors at 5:00, there will be a concert with groups including, the GLOVERS from Slocomb, CAYLEE ANNA, Jerome Jackson as Elvis and others to be announced.

Kendrea is a 23 year old local resident of Hartford that has Lyme’s and Crohn’s disease. She is also affected by Borreliosis which attacks the brain. Presently, she is back at home but will be going to UAB for further treatment on July 22, 2013. At her lowest, about a week ago, she weighed 87 lbs. She was placed in the hospital where she did receive TPN and it helped to get the nutrients that she needed. She gained up to 100 lbs. However, the doctors did tell her Mother, Kim Harris, that she would probably start to decline.

Due to the lack of finances, proper treatment for her has not been possible. Without insurance, it is virtually impossible for her to receive appropriate medical treatment. Her Mother, Kim Harris, has lost her job, her home and now is the 24-7 caregiver for Kendrea. It is taking a lot out of both.

It is our sincere desire to help this family out. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

With a free concert and free Vendor set up, we are asking for any donation upon entry to the events of the day. We hope that through all our efforts, success for Kendrea’s overall outcome will be a better quality of life.

We sincerely appreciate any and all help from the City of Hartford, the Merchants, the Churches and the Communities around about us.
