The Seabreeze Jazz Festival is offering a free Four Day Pass ($200 value) for each good donated used band instrument to the L.I.N.K.S program (Lonely Instruments for Needy Kids).  This local not-for-profit collects, repairs, and then makes these instruments available for students in Bay, Walton and Okaloosa Counties who normally would not be able to participate in middle and high school band due to the cost to buy or rent an instrument. Playground Music Center in Ft. Walton Beach and Panama City is collecting the instruments...repairing them...and placing them in the hands of kids who usually can't afford to rent or buy an instrument for band.

Here is a link with all the details:

Fans have been even shipping instruments from as far as Ohio to the store to participate.    If you can help get the word out on this...I would be appreciative.    The phone number for Playground Music Center if anyone has a question about their instrument qualifying is 850-243-2514.  Tony Leonard is the contact at the store for the L.I.N.K.S. program.

Who knows...maybe this program will help produce the next "Kenny G" or "Dave Koz"??
