in spite of the high temperatures, several Anglers took to the water on Lake Seminole Wednesday and loaded up on the bass. Whoever said bass want hit topwater on a clear day in hot weather should've been on the lake yesterday!
SOLO Angler Chris Leatherwood topped the field with a 3-bag limit that weighed in at 12.35 pounds and took home the top cash prize.
Despite a dead-fish penalty, Second Place was won by the team of Bristow/Pilcher who weighed in 11.46 pounds including one 5 plus pounder.
Big Bass of the tournament went to the team of Blount/Blount who weighed in a 5.35 pounder.
The team of Ward/Ingram took home the side-pot for the smallest 3-bag limit at 6.93 pounds.
Note: the bass that died were kept and will be eaten. WSBT Anglers make all the effort possible to keep their catch alive but it's tough sometimes; especially in 100° temps ...
THERE WILL NOT BE A WSBT TOURNAMENT FOR THE MONTHS OF JULY AND AUGUST DUE TO THE HEAT.
The tournament Trail will resume September 4th out of Thomas Mill Creek on Lake Eufaula.
