Wiregrass Senior Bass Trail (WSBT)



(Anglers age 40 and over – Rules & Schedule)



 



1.      All Anglers must be age 40, or older, prior to fishing their first Wiregrass Senior Bass Trail Tournament. (Only Exceptions to Age 40 Rule: Any Angler, age 40 or older, can be accompanied by a Co-Anger under the age of 40 IF, the Co-Angler is “immediate next-of-kin” {spouse, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter and/or a permanent partner for a Handicapped Angler} and the Senior Angler requires any physical assistance to participate in the tournament. The Co-Angler must show valid identification. No other exceptions to the Age 40 Rule.



2.       The Wiregrass Senior Bass Trail is a SOLO Angler and/or Team Event. All Anglers must be registered prior to their first tournament (you can register at the ramp). Team participation is encouraged for safety, but not mandatory.



3.      A Team (age 40 or older) can have one substitute Angler (age 40 or older) for only one tournament out of every 4 tournaments. However, either Team Angler can fish SOLO in any tournament if their pre-registered partner cannot participate in an event. (Exclusion: if the Angler, who is age 40 or older, is Handicap and has a “permanent partner” under the age of 40, that team CANNOT substitute for any reason.)



4.      SOLO Anglers can upgrade to a Team status at anytime, provided that the co-angler is previously registered as a WSBT participate or is “immediate next-of-kin” and/or a “permanent partner” needed to physically assist the current Angler at an event.



5.      Anglers must fish 7 out of 9 tournaments in 2019 to qualify for the Classic (TBA) in December. Classic location will be determined by a draw.



6.      All Wiregrass Senior Bass Trail Tournaments will be scheduled and held on the first Wednesday of each month and will rotate between Parramore’s Landing on Lake Seminole and Thomas Mill Creek on Lake Eufaula for the remainder of 2019.



7. Three fish, 14-inch, limit on all bass on both, Lake Eufaula and Seminole. There will be a ¼ pound (4 ounce) penalty assessed for each dead fish produced at the weigh-in.



8.      No live bait is permitted. Artificial lures only.



9.      In case of a tie; the Angler/Team with the largest fish will be designated as the winner.



10.  Entry fee per-tournament will be $50.00 per-boat (which includes $10.00 for big bass) and will payback 100% for 1 in 7 participating boats. For Anglers wishing to participate; there will be a $10.00 "Side Pot" (winner take all) for the smallest 3-bag limit weighed in. 



11.  This is a “pay and launch” bass tournament; the Tournament Director will be at the ramp one-hour prior to safe-light to register Anglers. Once the Angler/Team has paid the entry fee and registration fee (if applicable), the Angler/Team my launch and begin fishing.



12.  No restrictions on boat and motor. However, each participate must show valid proof of insurance, if requested. All boats and on-board equipment must meet USCG requirements. Life-Vest must be worn anytime the outboard motor is running. 



13.  Tournaments will be held the first Wednesday of each month and will run from one hour prior to safe-light until 2:00 P.M. (CST). All boats must be at the ramp by 2:00 P.M. or be disqualified.



14.  Registration will begin one hour prior to safe-light at the ramp. Blast off position will be determined by Registration position. Again, this is a “pay and launch” tournament.



15.  Anglers and Co-Anglers must complete a Registration Form prior to first launch at a one-time cost of $5.00 per-Angler (which will go toward winning pot in the 2019 Classic).



16.  Any Co-Angler, under the age of 40, participating as the “next-of-kin” assisting Angler must show a valid identification to the designated Tournament Director prior to completing the Co-Angler section of the registration form. 



17.  Grievances and/or pro-test (should they occur) will be determined by the Tournament Director and two “at-will” Anglers.



18.  Anglers will be expected to be exhibit good sportsmanship and honesty during all events.



19.  All promotional products and money donated to the WSBT, by Sponsors, will be given away to the top winners in the 2019 Classic.

2020 Wiregrass Senior Bass Trail (WSBT) schedule and any rule changes will be determined by six (6) selected and participating Anglers prior to the December 4th Classic.
