ALEAN  REAVES  FAIRCLOTH


 


LUVERNE, ALABAMA. . .Alean Reaves Faircloth, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, formerly of Abbeville, died Sunday afternoon in the Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne. She was 88.



            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mike Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the mortuary.



            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Abbeville, P.O. Box 606, Abbeville, AL. 36310. 


            Mrs. Faircloth was born and reared in Louisville, Alabama, daughter of the late David Reaves and Mae Bradley Reaves. She lived most of her adult lifetime in Abbeville before moving to Luverne in 2007. Mrs. Faircloth was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jefferson (Jeff) Faircloth, a son, John Melvin Faircloth, a son-in-law, Jim Layfield, a grandson, Eddie Geeslin, a sister and a brother.



            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Rita Taylor and husband, Greg, Edinburg, VA; Lela Fehnel and husband, Gary, Macon, GA; a son, Ross Faircloth and wife, Murl, Luverne; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
