ALICE GAYLE McEACHERN WOODCOX


HEADLAND.…Alice Gayle McEarchern Woodcox, a resident of Headland, AL passed away Monday night, November 23, 2020, at her home. She was 79.


            No services are planned at this time.


            Mrs. Woodcox was born in Columbia, Alabama to the late Harmon McEachern and Allie Richardson McEachern. She lived her entire childhood in Columbia, Alabama. She had previously worked at Sears, Roebuck and Company, and Aetna Financial,  until she started working for Military Finance at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, where she met her husband of fifty-one years, James Howard Woodcox, whom was stationed at Ft. Rucker. The two of them moved to the Ozark, Alabama area and lived there until they retired to Headland, Alabama.


            Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Gayle Woodcox; her sisters, Helen Silcox and Elouise Moseley; and her brothers, Frank McEachern, Buddy McEachern, and Lindi McEachern.


            Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, James Howard Woodcox; her daughter, Lydia Davis (Cyrus Dadgar) of Sarasota, Florida; her son, James Harmon Woodcox (Cindi) of Dothan, Alabama; her sister, Mary Cochran of Columbia, Alabama; and her three grandchildren.
