Alice M. Pellow

 

Alice M. Pellow, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, January 27, 2012 at her home at The Terrace at Grove Park. She was 88.

 

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Kocsis officiating. Burial will be held later in Nortonville, Kansas beside her husband Hal in the Engle Family grave section.  

 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Alice’s name to either Trinity Lutheran Church, 105 Luther Way, Dothan, AL 36301 or Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL, 36303.

 

Mrs. Pellow was born October 23, 1923, the oldest of seven children, at the family home near Valley Falls, Kansas to Earl Orlando and Myra Brown Engle. She is the widow of Roy Halford Pellow who died in July of 2007.

 

She is predeceased by a sister, Eva Grace Grubb and a brother, Earl Orlando Engle, Jr.

 

She is survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Dr. LeRoy Edward Engle of Kansas City, KS, Ardis Pauline Barnes of Topeka, KS, Ruth Shaw of Albuquerque, NM and George Bentley of New Brockton, AL; several other family members also survive.

 

Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
