CLAYTON, ALABAMA. . .Allen Knight, a resident of Clayton, Alabama, died early Friday morning, April 19, 2024, at his home. He was 84.

            There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Knight was born and reared in the Union Springs community of Houston County, near Pansey. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Knight lived in Florence, Alabama and Dothan before moving to Clayton in 1998. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church, near Texasville. Mr. Knight was retired as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by an infant son.

            Surviving relatives include his wife of fifty-three years, Nona Sue Gress “Sissy” Knight, a brother, Vann Knight of Canada.
