Allene McCall Baker gained her angel wings on October 3, 2023 after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Allene was born to the late Irvin Nathan McCall and Willie Margaret Francis Louise Thorpe McCall on December 29, 1935, along with her twin brother, Roland McCall

She was predeceased by her 9 siblings: J.D. McCall, Ollie Mae Jones, Mattie Vaughan, Fannie Anderson, Onyx Brown, James McCall, Horace McCall, Ruth Berry Richards, and Roland McCall. She was also predeceased by her husbands: Bruce Baker and George Powell.

She lived much of her life in southern California as an accountant, property manager and Realtor. She moved back to Alabama in 2003. She enjoyed playing Bridge, and made numerous friends in several towns. She was extremely inquisitive and constantly tried to learn everything she could.

She is survived by her son and DIL, Barry and Ann Baker from California. Her grandchildren: Cody Baker, Amanda Baker, Hailee Baker and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Annie Graham and Barbara Jones for providing care for Allene. Also, thanks to Day Spring Hospice for their care and understanding.
