Alton Luveral McDonald of Geneva, AL passed away Monday, July 05, 2021. He was 82.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 08, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from West Pittman Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Smith and Rev. Clifton McWhorter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday night at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

Luveral was born May 22, 1939 in Geneva Co., AL to the late Hubert Sylvester and Essie Rubean Jordan McDonald. He was a faithful member of West Pittman Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the textile industry as a weaver in the cotton mill. He later worked for Wiregrass Medical Center in housekeeping/maintenance for several years.

He enjoyed taking trips with his family and with his church.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Tommie Sue McDonald Outlaw and one brother, William Elton McDonald.

 

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Ann Holland McDonald of Geneva; one brother, Harold McDonald and wife Virginia of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Hazel Garner and husband Joe of Hartford, bro-in-law and sister-in-law, Rex and Loretta Holland of Geneva and many special  nieces, nephews and church family at West Pittman Baptist Church.
