HEADLAND. . .Alton White, a former resident of Headland, died Wednesday afternoon, December 24, 2014, in the Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp, Alabama. He was 72.

            A memorial service will be held at a later date. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

            Alton White was a lifelong resident of Headland, son of the late Alton White, Sr. and Jewell Dean McKee White. He was of the Methodist Faith. Alton was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas White, Charles White, and Johnny Mack McKee.

            Surviving relatives include two sisters, Janice Shelley, Headland; and Donna Sue Grimes (Dewey), Abbeville; two brothers, Eston (Red) White, Headland; and Dennis White (Nancy), Ashford; sisters in law, Delaphaine White, Abbeville; and Helga McKee, Webb; several nieces and nephews.
