Alvin Jackson “Jack” Massey of Coffee Springs, AL passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the home of his daughter in Pearland, TX.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffee Springs, AL with Andy McLean officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Mr. Massey was born on February 21, 1949 to the late Henry Jackson and Erma Lee Howell Massey. Jack attended Coffee Springs High School, where he lettered in basketball, and football. He was a truck driver for Massey Trucking for many years. He was also known for his work in the construction and sheetrock industry.  Mr. Massey was a true outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing, and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Massey Taylor, and Mary Massey Kelley; one brother, Herman Levi Massey; and one niece, Michelle Wolfe.

He is survived by four children, Jennifer Massey (Jesus Salazar) of Pearland, TX, Alvin Lance Massey (Lana Williams) of Houston, TX, Ashley Massey of Enterprise, AL, and Josh Massey (Tiffany) of Enterprise, AL; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Massey, Michael Wolfe, Brittany Robinson, Ashley Rios, LaRonna Brezina, Hunter Massey, and Bayleigh Massey; nine great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Madison, Aiden, Ale, Jaxon, David, Jr., McKenzie, Eli, and Noah; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.  

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Franklin, Michael Wolfe, Daryl Turner, Jesus Salazar, Tyler McLean, and William Howell.
