Amanda Christine Downing, 29, a resident of Ashford died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held 4pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Judy Dyson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Amanda was born July 29, 1986 in Houston County and she lived most of her life in Ashford where she attended Ashford High School. She loved animals, listening to music and dancing. She was avid hunter and enjoyed being outside. Amanda attended Shady Grove Church.

Survivors include her parents, William and Cathy Downing; her son, Anthony Jase Rathel; her sister, Kellie Dianne (Allen) Curtis; her grandparents, Travis and Luzell Dyson and Mary Downing; her uncle Charles Downing; her niece, Kayla Curtis; her nephew, Kayden Curtis; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
