Mr. Andrew David West, age 76, a resident of Dothan, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Southeast Health.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022, at Cowarts Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Sorensen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.

Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. West was born in Chipley, Florida to the late Clyde and Lucille West. He spent his early years in Chipley before moving to Dothan. He was a graduate of Chipley High School, following high school he married Esther Pearl Kirkland of Dothan. Mr. West attended Troy University and earned his certification as an electrician, he worked for Dothan City Utilities Electrical Department up until his retirement in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Pearl Kirkland West; his parents; three brothers, Bufford Taylor, Franklin Hood, and Mack Taylor.

Survivors include: two sons, Danny West, and Paul West; three daughters, Donna West Christensen, Kim West Early, and Kelsie West Mayhall (John); a sister, Marylou Shirah; two brothers, Tommy West, and James West; a stepbrother, Hughboy Taylor; five grandchildren, Brad West, Mason West, Hannah Davis, Emily Wofford, and Cassie Teachman; several great-children, nieces, and nephews.
