Ms. Anita Louise Nichols Jackson, age 75, a resident of Dothan died Saturday August 3, 2013 at Flowers Hospital. 

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chuck Locke and Reverend Mike Lyle officiating.  Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home will be directing. 

The family will be receiving friends and family at Glover Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to services.  At other times, the family will be at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Keith & Kay Jackson, 120 S. Roberta Ave., Dothan. 

In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 West Main Street, Dothan, AL. 36301. 

Ms. Jackson was born on March 22, 1938 in Roanoke, VA. the daughter of James Riley Nichols and Edith Louise Sweeney Nichols.  She was a 1956 Graduate of Flemming High School and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan.  Ms. Jackson moved to Dothan in 1976 from Roanoke, VA. and was a homemaker. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 48 years, Julian James Jackson. 

Survivors include: daughter, Melinda Barger, Dothan; son, Keith Jackson (Kay), Dothan; 3 grandchildren, Laura Jackson, Lydia Jackson and Jay Barger, all of Dothan; a sister, Brenda Lyle (Mike), Alexandria, VA.  

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan is in charge of the arrangements.
