Anita Thompson Ellenburg of Bellwood, Alabama went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Flowers hospital. She was 70.

 

Memorial services will be 11:00am Monday, August 28, 2017 from the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Dickey McAllister officiating.

 

In keeping with Anita’s wishes memorialization will be by cremation.

 

Anita was born February 5, 1947 in Enterprise, Alabama to the late Charles and Geraldine Childs Thompson. She was a graduate of Geneva County High School in Hartford.

 

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Anita’s memory to the Local Alzheimer’s Association, Southeast Alabama Chapter, P.O. Box 609, Dothan, Alabama 36302

 

In addition to her parents, the father of her child, Robert Douglas Ellenburg preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Mark McCrory, Huntsville, AL, 2 grandchildren, Ansley McCrory , Dothan, AL and Hill McCrory, Huntsville, AL 1 sister, Beverly Davis, Bellwood, AL, 1 brother, Scott Thompson, Daleville, AL, a very dear friend, Ree Srickland, Enterprise, AL, , several nieces and nephews.
